Any way of opening boot on 2001 saloon with key in ignition

later ones press and hold for 5 seconds, other wise its hilpers boot mod  :y

Yes I bravely followed the boot opening mod...felt like I was defusing a bomb, cut the correct wire and all sorted. Below I believe.

Now opens with key in ignition AND with engine running. Far more usefull. Heck knows what they were thinking...I mean for someone to pop the boot they would have to get past the driver to hit the switch in any event. The driver is hardly going to miss a strange arm coming through an open door or window aiming for a small switch on the front console huh...

Just be aware that your interior light will not go out as soon as you turn the key, it will stay on for 9 seconds.

Seemed to be a lot more equipment under cover on my Omega than in the image THANK YOU

Also, with the boot mod, you will notice, particularly in winter, the annoying fact that the courtesy light stays on once the doors are closed...
