I dont remove anything to do a V6 HBV

You obviously dont have hands like mine then?!  I need the plenum off to do a HBV and I cant even get my diggers into the pollen filter drain area without taking off a lot of skin :-[

Just changed my HBV in about an hour having plucked up the courage after reading these posts. Thanks a lot everyone.
Thought it worth mentioning for those fellow novices out there that you can get hold of the valve and pull it out from the back of the engine with the hoses still attached making it easier to disconnect them. I had visions of having to get in with a socket or spanner thinking that it must be bolted to something, but it is more or less just free standing.
Thanks again
