No hot air
« on: 12 July 2010, 13:22:31 »

With it being a bit colder this morning I put my heating on to warm but all I got blowing out was cold air, set it to hi and still only cold?

Any ideas.

Whip the vacuum line off the top of the HBV and plug the line with a small bolt, leaving the HBV clear.  If you now get heat it's either the HBV or the controller giving the wrong output... no vac = heat, vac = cold.

I spent the winter with the pipe disconnected to give me heat, Changed the HBV in the spring so I could turn the heat off !!

HTH  :)

Can you feel the vacuum on the pipe going into the HBV?

Most likely a blocked matrix or the HBV siezed.

Does your car have digital climate control? If so try adjusting the passenger section independently, see if that gets warm...

Right here we go as this is doing my nut in.
Have no hot air coming through the system, have hot water in both of the matrix pipes so no blockage in that, flushed the system and refilled with fresh antifreeze, took the vac pipe off the hbv and no vac in the pipe it seems but still no hot air, changed the bulbs on the climate control and now cant get any change of air distribution only blows to the screen not anywhere else, tried resetting it by holding OFF & AUTO for 30 seconds but still nothing AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH !!!!!!!!  >:( >:( >:(

Did you reconnect the black and yellow plug correctly after removing the panel?  Seems as though you did, but maybe a pin or two isn't making a good contact.

Failing that, your Climate Panel may be knackered?
