knock under heavy braking
« on: 17 July 2010, 21:29:50 »

Don't know if this has been asked before. Under heavy braking noticed a loud knocking sound from passenger front and when hard accelerating a knock from drivers side is this the wish bones or drop links. Thanks in advance ian :)
also what is the best after market wish bones to get

I'd say it's most likely to be wishbones ;)

Yep... Lemforder are generally regarded the best aftermarket ones. I'm on my second set of ebay specials but I fit them myself and got just over 2 years and about 50k out of the first set so I'm happy :y :y

if you have vibration in steering when cornering with brakes (not in straight !! ,this is another type of problem) , definitely wishbones.. I just changed mines this week..

don't get delphi ones. they may only cost £45 per side against £260ish for vx ones, but the first ones i fitted managed 20k, the second set 800miles. the original vx ones did 135k. >:( you do the math. :-/
