Spent yesterday at Daz's farm locale for Cambelt, tensioners, water pump, coolant and 3.0 cams and inlet plate.
Came back home with all of those done, plus a heater that actually gets hot (after more than 10 mins of flush / backflush of the heater matrix) a clean throttle body, an idle speed that is now near the mark (Damn those Rapid/Quick/Fast -Fit monkeys

)and a myriad of replacement covers and pipes thrown in to replace my broken ones.
Daz, I can't thank you enough! Old Homer is pulling like a train at top end now - feels more like a 2.75 than a 2.5.

I spent the last five miles of my journey sweating my cobs off with the heater on full - just because i could

If anyone in the midlands has a problem with their mig, then they really should get in touch with Daz. Don't ask him to come out to you, it's better to go to his lock up and he'll put things right at a reasonable price. The only drawback is that Rick Astley CD on 'repeat' while he is working

Once again Daz, thanks!
PS, checked the coolant this morning and it's fine mate, the level is spot on
