Alright people i have just found out the hard way that my fuel gague is wrong i have a quarter a tank of fuel ion the car and it died and i had to get the police to close the highway.

What do i need to do to check what is wrong.

i feel a right noob

I'm not close but I'd happily sort it out for you. I've got a tank here I can scavenge spares off if needed

didnt any alarms go off? quarter tank? i.e. 20 litres? sounds like dead or blocked lift pump syndrome to me!!!!

I had thought about it OT, but on another thread by the same poster he talks about a leak around the sender as well, so I was going to sort both at the same time

i have fixed the leak around the sender well the rac man did lol becasue i couldnt move the thing the fuel sender seal was not even one the tank it was in the tank lol
