Tensioner pulley automatically adjusts the belt

Oh that sounds straight forward ? I haven't started the job yet ; so  is it literally  as simple as re tightening the bolt ?  ... how does that  'work ' then ??   Cheers ..

If it's the same as every other Aux Belt Tensioner, the pulley is sprung loaded.  You just lever it back with a bar and fit the belt, then gently allow the tensioner to 're-tension'.

No....you place a spanner on the tensioner bolt and rotate clockwise (from memory) to remove the belt tension (you will be pushing against a spring in the tensioner).....then remove the belt....and the tensioner will spring back as you remove the spanner.

Re-fit is the reverse

Dead obvious once you have a go

Eh? You took the bolt out? That will need re-torqued. The aux belt tensioner is spring loaded, 15mm spanner releases the tension, as Rob says it will automatically set tension again.

Just make a quick sketch of how the belt goes before you take it off :y

Op didn't say he took bolt out - just compared simplicity of job to retightening a bolt!!  Said he hadn't started job.  RTFP  :) :) ;)
