Oh right, well been quote (with a discount) £71.50 per Kumho tyre, so might try them and then give a feed back in a month or two

Got 912's on the front, grip very well, approaching 30k since fitted, no issues! 452's on the rear much the same. I'd get them again  :y
Is your seat set too far back or something?  ;D  ;)

I love falken tyres - on my Golf and TVR but dont put them on an omega. I tried 452s, then 912s both gave me terrible tramlining and random handling - the car would just wander around and I had to keep correcting the steering.

Had it in to WIM several times for adjustment, new rear shocks, new wishbones, steering idler, steering box adjusted.

Then I changed to conti sc3's on the back and dunlops on the front and problem has been solved. Quieter and much more sure footed , especially in the wet.

I went for dunlops on the front as they were about £25 each cheaper than the contis. I think it was £97 each inc vat and shipping.

Falkens are great tyres but IME suit lighter cars as they have relatively soft sidewalls. For something as heavy as an omega you want stiffer sidewalls.

Its a 4 pot! Whats the point in reeving it? I makes more noise but the scenery does not go past any quicker.

As TB said, its more like an engine volume control  ;D

Didn't think the 2.0 was too bad tbh.

How long did your previous set of tyres last? Over 50k was it?  :o

How? I've had 7 tyres (due to a puncture needing premature replacement) on mine now (soon to be 8 ::)) in a little over 50k, and that's been getting the most out of them ::) ::)

did whole mixture of driving on those, driving around M25 on a commute for a job, 15 mile commute to station for another job, uni runs, all sort. Never had a puncture in Omega ownership.... bet i will now!  ;D

Combination of hard tyre, and lack of power ;D

Also bear in mind they need to be of the correct rating. I bought cheap tyres for the last omega and they lasted less than 10k  miles but when I went to get them changed the tyre fitter pointed out that I had the wrong rated tyres on.
Worth checking as it was pointed out that apart from being dangerous it was also illegal so if I'd been pulled I'd have been in deep do do.

Chimpy

Does this mean the 3.2 Omega only requires a 'V' rated tyre, yet the 3.0 requires a 'W' rated tyre?

149 and 151 mph Top Speed respectively.

 :-/ :-/:-/

EDITED TO ADD:  The 2.0 should be fine on Re-Moulds  ;D ;D

I tend to get approx a year from a set of 4 tyres, which is around 15k.  But then I demand some level of grip.

Ones I would really avoid personally are any Michelin (no grip after about 3 months), any Avon (no grip and poor durability (managed 4k out of a set of rears)), and whatever junk chrisgixer had on his last year (I refused to drive his car again until he changed the tyres)
