Questions..again sorry
« on: 04 August 2010, 10:39:06 »

Would the non HID light switch (that includes height adjustment) fit and work for cars with HIDs?
I am planning to wire the height adjustment to something else in the car.

Are the lights from a Pre-facelift the same as a Facelift? Will they fit a facelift? I am asking this as I would like to get some eyebrows for my facelift, but they only ones I can find are pre-facelift ones.

Last question - does anyone know where I can get white dials for my omega v6 facelift?

1) Yes it would, but HID's are supposed to use levelling sensors, so manual height adjustment is not needed. If retro fitting without sensors you will need to adjust them physically.

2) Nope, lights are different.

3) eBay is best bet, but it must be same setup, ie you have 160 mph clocks, they must be 160 white dials, 4 pots have 140 mph dials and these will work but give you inaccurate reading.

No need to be sorry about asking questions, what forums are about!  :y

Hi,

I had a look at that ebay link - however the dials have been stuck into place so cant easily be removed to be put onto my original dash (which has lesser mileage).

The search continues...

You replace the complete assembly and adjust the mileage to suit your current reading

I think I would take an MOT testers advice on that one personaly, in theory it is illegal to turn back the mileage on your car, however you are wanting to adjust the mileage to suit your car.  Think I would still ring an MOT test centre then they can at least verify it for future reference.
