v6 fault code 19 & 136
« on: 07 August 2010, 17:35:35 »

the Omega suddenly wont go past 4000 rpm'ish. Goes a little over and then starts violently going up and down in revs as if it hit a rev limiter. Runs perfectly up to just above 4000. Paperclip gave code 19 and 136. aka incorrect rpm signal and the very useful "unknown driver output error":P Have seen several here had the 136 without symptoms. Am i right in guessing that 19 is the crankshaft sensor and getting a new one might cure it? eml comes on if i keep it aroun 4000 for a few seconds then goes out as soon as i release the throttle.

Very likely, but buy a 'real' GM/Opel part, pattern parts can be a bit of a gamble  :y  :y  :y

And yet another code 136  :o

I wish there was someone to explain that error or at least could provide a complete schematic for the M2.8.1.

I will open my ECU and do some measurements when I can. It's just that I need the car several times each day and can't do that at the moment :(
