the Omega suddenly wont go past 4000 rpm'ish. Goes a little over and then starts violently going up and down in revs as if it hit a rev limiter. Runs perfectly up to just above 4000. Paperclip gave code 19 and 136. aka incorrect rpm signal and the very useful "unknown driver output error" Have seen several here had the 136 without symptoms. Am i right in guessing that 19 is the crankshaft sensor and getting a new one might cure it? eml comes on if i keep it aroun 4000 for a few seconds then goes out as soon as i release the throttle.

Very likely, but buy a 'real' GM/Opel part, pattern parts can be a bit of a gamble

And yet another code 136 

I wish there was someone to explain that error or at least could provide a complete schematic for the M2.8.1.

I will open my ECU and do some measurements when I can. It's just that I need the car several times each day and can't do that at the moment
