Any recommended geometry set up Notts area?
« on: 14 August 2010, 18:53:40 »

Hi there, Can anyone recommend a garage for setting the  steering geometry on my 2.5 Elite. Is there a Wheels in Motion in the Midlands?, or similar ,who know how to set the Omega up properly.
Many thanks
Philip

I would also love to know what the geometry set up is for my 3.0 Elite?

Does anyone have these measurements/statistics?

Measurements I can supply a garage to ensure they know what they are doing is correct?

Cheers :y

Mark DTM has a recommendation that he uses, escapes me for a moment, but he is in Nottingham. A search may reveal, he has mentioned them several times on here.

Or visit wheels in motion web site where they have several franchises around the country which they heavily police via live link to head office to view the final settings. Sadly the oof discount is not available at these but you'll save on fuel and tyre wear.

Nearest is Oldham at the moment, but has been mentioned to keep an eye out from more local openings.

Keep an eye on the WIM map. :y

Trip to SLady bitshorpe gives the change to see the difference on the trip there and back. :y

Who is the "agent" in Swindon please ??  I had a full setup at Chesham in Jun 09 but it looks like the outer edges of the fronts are wearing.. so a check would be a good idea.

160 mile round trip probably makes sense to go "local" rather than drive to Chesham purely on time,...  the £42 difference (£60+VAT v £95 + VAT) is more than I'd use in fuel (160 miles is only £24 on LPG)... but then again a day out to Chesham is always nice ... (excellent coffee  :)  ) ...

decisions, decisions ....
