Hi folks,

Am needing a new Cat (looks like it's gona fall apart and got the P0420 poping up the EML)and fortunately found this post first thankfully  :y

I was just gona order one identical to the one fitted, this type http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/ProductImages/321996.jpg

Thanks for the link Shrek http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cat-Catalytic-Converter-Vauxhall-Omega-2-2i-16v-99-/320396351654?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM

So i am defo better getting the pre cat version? Auto / Manual the same? (would this have been fitted origionally? ) Y plate Manual 2001 2.2 CD 16v Petrol

Would rather have the proper part even if it was dearer, but it's great that the pre cat one is cheaper! :y

Don't forget to weigh your old ones in, a friend of mine who works in the scrap metal market told me last week old used cats are worth £80 each, so if its a V6 you have two!

I would say your better with the pre-cat ... i put on a cheap pattern part with just the main cat and suffered terribly with the P0420 still ... i bought the one i put in the like above and have had no problems since ... the original set up was the same as in the link .
Just make sure you ask them if the one in the pic is the one you will get  :y
