central locking and immobiliser problems

Hi have an old 94 omega 2.0l estate it has the infrared set up for immobiliser and central locking. I'm down to my  last key and this is working hit and miss.( iv'e fitted new batteries) and done the reprogramming  thing mentioned in the manual anyone give any further options Thanks J

You can still buy the IR remotes but you will need a Tech1 to program them to the car.
