Outside temp sensor
« on: 26 August 2010, 17:04:22 »

My outside  temp has started displaying about 3 degrees low. Is it usual for that type of sensor to become ' inaccurate '  rather than fail  completely?  Any one know how much they cost to replace ? or can they be re-calibrated ? thanks

they are only about £6.

The only recalibration is between the internal and external sensors and involves leaving the car open and covered so both would be reading the same temperature, and this stage tech2 can calibrate to each other, but not as you descibe.

Mine failed, started reading odd temperatures a bit out, then got further out until it stopped working altogether.
