help required id of washer found in the sump

hi all just removed sump on my v6 to clean pick up pipe as i have had oil light comin on when warm and found a washer with four indentation on the edges in the sump anyone got any ideas what it could have come off http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=202355&id=757234280&l=38d376b37a

Can't see your pic mate but it sounds like a washer out of the cam cover.
Probably found it's way down there during a cam cover gasket change.

You're better off hosting your picture somewhere other thanFaceBook, not everyone has or wants an account  ;) Photobucket or Photobox are better, and you can link directly to them to show the picture.
Is your washer rubber? The 4 indents suggest to me it could be a rocker/cam cover 'O' ring that's found its way down there. Someone else found the same thing very recently.  :y  :y

Yup it's one of the rubber washers from the cam covers.

don't need a facebook account to view that link. tis a public link :) silly me didnt try bending it though and have now discovered is a cam cover seal... duh!!!!

Did you find a lot of muck in the pick-up, and in the sump?
This was my pick-up, and you can see some fairly big lumps of crud in the drain tray in the background  ::):
