Hi all, i am thinking of getting the following switches for my facelift to fit around the audio unit :-

Traction Control Switch
Drivers Heated Seat Switch
Passenger Heated Seat Switch
Rear Blind Switch

My fascia is currently fitted with blanks.
My first question is....How do you remove the blanks without damaging the console?
My second question is.... Would the switches just plug straight in or is there some other jobs needed first.
I don't want to buy the switches only to find that i have to strip the whole console just to fit them!!!
Just for the record my miggy is not fitted as standard with these 4 features??? (it's only a 2.0 GLS) but i want to spruce up the dash and make it seem a little less empty.

answer to your firdt question is use a flat head screwdriver shaped tool/piece of plastic and leaver the blanks out. they come out quite easilly.

not 100% sure regarding the wiring, so best let someone else answer that.

The looms will be there as all facelifts use the exact same dash loom

I fiited the TC switch and rear blind switch to my diesel, the blind switch worked straight away and lit up with the side lights but because there isn't TC the TC switch doesn't light up

It's kind of sad I know but in the past I too have stuck a tc switch in the dash... My excuse is the car was a CDX Vectra diesel and that switch was the only one that was not fitted, one blank all by it's self just didn't look right.

I wasn't happy with just the switch though, I had to get it lighting up with the side lights too. I also rather sadly wired the traffic master switch to the alarm switch so there were 2 flashing red lights on the dash.
Incidentally, did you know the tm L.E.D.'s are dual polarity jobbies, they light up green aswell!
