Did you have it changed or was it done before you bought it? 20k is nothing if everything was changed and done properly :-/

Stands a chance it was just the belt that was changed and not the full kit so it is possible a bearing failed in a roller causing the belt to spin off under momentum.

Apparently it was all done?
My son in law done it,but I was not privvy to the change.
It was full serviced etc before I bought it from them.

If I can get this engine,I think it might be the way to go.

It is possible the waterpump also seized.  On 2.2, always change pump with cambelt
