No idea what's causing it but there is a guide in the maintenance section on how to disconnect the Power sounder.     At least till you figure it out.

You been under the bonnet today?  Check the bonnet alarm switch has not been accidentally leant upon and pushed downwards, causing false alarms as its now out of position.

Under there a few days ago , topping up the washer jet tank. Have just been out and taken it off and given the switch a clean and check over. Locked up now.....will see if i get a 3am alarm call from the car.

Thanks for tip.  do you normal get the 4 beeps from the sounder as the battey is going, as i have not had that at any point so hope the sounder is ok.

Steve have you got a push switch in the boot for light and alarm.  Only mine has gone a few times and it always end's up that its that on mine it tends to just ping out and end up in a few parts.  Worth a check if it does it again mate.  :y

Could be a total red herring - and time may prove me wrong but had similar myself, looking back this was coinciding with my remote key becoming unreliable and eventually dying.
Since I got the repaired remote back from Martin Imber (brilliant service as others have stated) the alarm seems to have settled itself. Touch wood.

Had to drive into work today and was over night the alarm was still going off . Ended up putting it in the drive way. What i am finding is that when the key to turned to postion 1 there is a buzzing from the fuse box ( one of the white ones at the right of the box ).

Also had the intererior light staying on as i was driving . Checked all the doors and they where closed and lock.

Would this sound like to you guys as still the powersounder playing up. I have not been getting the 4 beeps at all.

Thanks
Steve.

As a update to this , ran the car up to Mark DTM and the prob turned out to be the drivers doorside  light swich the rubber cover had a rip in it and was letting in water. With the rain a few nights ago it was triggering the alarm. Will be getting a new one from Vx sellers in a few days. Nice easy fix.

Many thanks Mark..nice to meet up and thanks for the Tech 2 check up.

Good old Mark/tech 2.

Just wondering though how does the diagnosis work with tech 2, does it give a code for the location of the door light switch maybe?
