HEATER MATRIX SMELL
« on: 10 September 2010, 14:28:44 »

Good afternoon all,

Can any body please tell me if it is possible to have a smelly heater matrix without having a water leak.

I have looked at the sneaky matrix replacement routine and I have the matrix ready to install but my mates are telling me that it cannot be kicking out a smell if I am not losing water. My header tank level is dead steady.
Can a better brain please give me advise.

Terry.

AFAIK the Matrix can't cause a smell of itself, unless it is actually leaking coolant! What type of smell is it? :-/

It maybe bacteria in the a/c etc .
Could try one of those things in a can that get rid of heater or a/c odours .
