Aux belt/pulley

sorry guys.....ive searched for a 'how to' but couldnt find one (probably missed it) of changing the aux belt tensioner pulley? - any one got the link plz? TIA  :y :y :y

ITs super easy.

15mm spanner on the tensioner bolt to release the belt tension and slip the belt off.

Using the same spanner, undo the tensioner pulley bolt and replace the pulley.

Release the tension again and pop the belt back on.

15 mins to do

cheers Mark... yea I thought it was as easy, just didnt know if any thing to watch for  :y :y

edit:  BTW is it advisable to change complete unit? (tensioner&pulley?)

I disagree. The tensioner is normally OK & it's just the tensioner pulley that suffers from a failed bearing. It's available seperately too.  :y

I replaced my aux. belt a while ago, 3 miles later the tensioner failed leaving a large spring protruding from the engine bay.
The pulley still looks fine.
I'd replace the lot, belt tensioner and pulley.

If the tensioner still looks OK (they are mega reliable), just change the pulley.  Its the pulley bearings that fail, as they have to do a lot of work
