Elite rear blind
« on: 13 September 2010, 21:55:17 »

Followed the maintenance guide which was excellent but had trouble getting the shelf out of place once everything was removed. Found that the 3 studs which go through into the boot tend to foul on the Bose speakers, difficult to lift them up as the blind and casing keep the shelf fairly rigid, managed after a lot effort and skinned knuckles - get the plasters out!
After taking the mechanism apart found that the spindle of the smaller cog had jumped out of the bush holding it in place - an easy fix but i hope it doesn't do it again.  ;)

Mine was held firmly in place by the rear screen sealant, spent ages trying to find another fixing that wasn't there. Just pulled it out in the end, but it put up a good fight.
