Many code readers will reset it.

its not a service light....its a fault light.

fix the problem and it will go away  :y

unfortunately reading the codes is not easy on a 2.2 and requires a code reader normally (you can try the pedal trick, but unlikely to work)

Read in another thread, this seems to work on a Vectra.

Might be worth a try.

Turn Ignition Off
·      Hold Trip Reset In
·      Turn Ignition On
·      Still Holding Trip Reset wait for three dashes
·      Turn off Ignition
                               :-/

Might be a wee problem there.  My Tech2 seems to have thrown its toys out the pram for some reason and is now refusing to answer button presses.....  >:(

Update on this as I bought the car off Brian.
Had the codes read
P0700 MIL request from Transmission Control Module
Caused by
P1870 Torque convertor Clutch stuck off

Reset codes and took it for a blast, no repeat so hoping its just a glitch as it had a recent box change.
