Noisy trip odometer
« on: 20 September 2010, 10:07:06 »

My trip meter is making a very faint ticking noise, and moves in tiny jerks (which are what is making the noise) instead of scrolling smoothly.

Am I seeing the first signs of failure? Or is this just one of those mildly irritating things that I have to get use do?

Thats how it should be, a very faint tick of the solenoid actuating it and a slightly movement of the dial as a result

I've never noticed it before - had the car 10 years - it must have suddenly got noisier!

Is this normal too?
