Rear shockers

Asked by a guy at work (yup I'm back in employment again as of yesterday  :y :y  ) who owns a 2000 2.5 CD Estate .. he tows a lot with it and the rear shocks are shot, and being a CD does not have self levellers. He wishes to fit "air adjustables" as he had them on a Carlton years back - the sort that you connect an airline to a valve in the boot to inflate/deflate.

AFAIK only Monroe or Koni make such weapons ... anyone know different ? or can recommend size/type/make ??

There are some Monroes on Ebay - just get them.

(whoops saloon ones)

Should be some estate ones though

I got the saloon version for my saloon, but will be getting the estate ones to go on my estate.

Martin, do you have to take your J/Wheel off while you are towing or is it because I tow a twin axle van  (Plus the car isnt fitted with these shocks either )that it sits so low when attached to the car ???

The shocks came with a pressure gauge and valve so you can inflate them manually. I kept the box and the paper work. I can't find a part number, but the only obvious thing I can find is this number 19.04.01.94, don't know how relevant this is though.

They're called 'Monroe Ride Levellers' Nige - fitted 'em on my TD Estate. :y

No - only to get out of my parking space rest of time is fine, air shocks are brilliant
