hot starting
« on: 15 October 2010, 20:03:36 »

Had a problem starting from hot.Eventually had to floor the throttle and turn it over before it started.Would this cause the emissions light to come on for a short time? Also, how much pressure should there be when opening the header tank when hot?

If you are overfuelling, (as you probably would be flooring the throttle at turn over)then yes, you would get the EML showing. Also, if the engine is at normal operating temperature then the cooling system is under pressure and will spew boiling coolant everywhere if the cap is released :-? Is the poor starting issue only happening when the engine is hot? :-/
