Err, no.

I'm guessing SL springs are longer for a reason, and also softer to match the dampers.

If you need new springs, but cannot afford correct springs, I'd remove SL and put normal shocks on

I already have non self leveling springs and shocks fitted to the elite, and I want to return it to standard.

Ah, hokey dokey, so you need shocks as well then?

Springs, SL around a ton a pair (pattern). Shocks - have to be GM, £150 the pair.

Check the accumulator pump hasn't seized up during its lack of use...

Thanks. I'm trying to souce a good used set of SL shocks at the moment. A member on here has got a set and is thinking about the offer I have made him.

Some oof are running non sl springs with sl shocks and say it is ok.

I wouldn't run that combination myself. Then again, I wouldn't fit 2nd hand shocks.  Then again, I'm actively looking at removing all the SL shite off my elite, and putting something useful on!  ;D

Running lowered sports chassis rear springs with self levelling shocks on mine, and am happy with the results...

....but if your looking to replicate the stock suspension and ride of the elite then anything other than the stock items, or correct kyb items, will be too stiff for the Elite and anyone looking for The soft Elite ride will be disappointed.
