Vibration with Omega B 2,2
« on: 22 October 2010, 09:13:02 »

Hey!

I continously feel vibration in the car(2001, bensin, milage 200K) body when driving 70+km/h. It feels it comes from back side.

Just checked the rear axsis and wheel balance was also checked in the workshop. Nothing there...

Has anybody experience with driveshaft? Could it be that the driveshaft cross is worn little bit and generates vibration...?
Can the driveshaft cross be replaced separarately or the complete driveshat has to be replaced...

Any info and experience is welcome...

Cheers,
Olzz

check all the drive train ie prop-shaft center bearing dough nut joints each end, also is there much play in the rear cv joints ? does your handbrake work ok I've had mine stick on a little before and cause noise and vibration at lower speeds
engine and gearbox mounts might be worth checking as well
as these if out of line can cause same .     best of luck with it  mate westy :y
