Hi everyone, first post so keep it simple
I got my 2.2 dti about 2 months ago with 32000 on the clock and it's been running ok'ish since. Mpg seemed a bit low at mid thirty's with a mixture of motorway and and b roads.
The car doesn't seem as quick as I'd expect after driving various 2.0 diesels.
The car seems to take a bit longer than most other diesels to start especially with cold weather although it is by no means struggling to start.
The idle also takes a few minutes after starting to settle, it bounces between about 800 to 1200rpm.
I started the car a few days ago from below 0 temp's and had the air con and heaters on full. I drove about 100m to the nex junction when I stopped I noticed a large amount of White smoke coming from around the front drivers side wheel. Similar to what exhaust fumes look like in sub 0 temps but there was nearly twice as much smoke from the front of the car as the exhaust was putting out it also smelt slightly different to the exhaust smoke. I obviously checked under the bonnet and found a small amount of smoke coming up from below the turbo. Nothing was on fire or burning so I drove on. Stopped atthe next junction about 3 miles away and no sign of smoke from the front and at this stage the exhaust fumes were also now no longer white. This hasn't happened since but I also haven't been driving in sub 0 temps since either
Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on these issues, I don't know if they are all linked or what
Btw great site, good info on here
