Occasional 'lumpy' running, did paper clip
« on: 26 October 2010, 17:50:55 »

A few times the engine's felt like it's got a misfire and the warning light's come on, only for it to go out and things to return to running smoothly.
Did a paper clip thing and got 10 flashes then 2 then 10 then 3.
I've read that  this = 0203 which = injector valve 3
Is that right?
It's an X20XEV 2.0 16v from '96

Thanks for the reply.
Used car the other day no problems.

I'm not much of a mechanic, would the wiring be under the bit where the plugs where?

Injector wiring plugs on x20xev are integrated in the bottom of the cable tray that runs fore-and-aft along the offside of the engine.  The wires come up vertically and then turn towards the front of the engine, so are vulnerable to chafing on the wires that run straight on past them where they emerge.

Take the lid off the cable tray and have a good look around.  :y
