ok peeps i had my clutch go so because i couldnt really find the time to do, i took to the local Mr Clutch.

New clutch in the day, driving it out of peterboro that arvo i noticed it judder coming away at the lights, does it in 1st and 2nd. Like it for weeks and several k miles so it went back for warranty replacement ('Its just bedding in' becomes bullssst after a trip round euroupe and upwards of 26 roundabout pull aways per day)

Its still juddery on the new clutch. :-? Not as bad it seems tho, and the second time they done it the pedal felt different as if they had actually changed and bled the slave this time, (they had charged for this 1st time round but the pedal feel was no different afterwards unlike the second time)

the car was absolutely not like this before Mr clutch had it, so do i go back a third time and insist they either put a different cluch make on (think they used a CS or some similar two lettered name) or replace whatever they have bent in the process?

need some ammo for them

If I remember they were on watchdog a couple of years ago for doing shoddy work and not replacing bits they charged for

well id say that confirms they are still up to their tricks..

so any ideas what might be causing the juddering on pulling away? it happens as you bring the clutch up from statoionary, more so when warm and under load

you sure they changed it the second time and not just "bled" your clutch slave cylinder?

I never use clutches of any other brand than gen vaux, s
most others are remanufactured refurbed trash sold to motor factors for pennies.

as said, some of the cheaper linings are "hard" and cause problems.
i dont know what brand gm use but you should be able to match it cheaper at a factors.
rock and a hard place springs to mind as next will be the old flywheel skim routine..

Not the first time Mr Clutch have been mentioned on here.

Iirc they connected the battery up backwards on a 3.2 and buggered the ecu afawct  :-?. No spark on the 135 bank.

well when i hear juddery clutch my first thought is that it's not aligned properly as in ´when they put it in it aint straight, when aligning the clutch i always lathed a spigot at the right diameter so when i tightened the clutch with this in it was perfectly aligned, used to have this problem alot on the 4.2 falcons in n.z, could be the prob, maybe?? either way it aint right take it back and insist they get it right..... you paid ´for a clutch and that's what they should give you and insist through till you're satisfied

thats what i told em, they hadn't bled it properly so it wasnt disengaging properly hence it got too hot and warped maybe???

Just been back there for a 'adjustment check' (dont hydraulic clutches adjust themselves ???) and told em it still judders i'll see what its like in a thousand or so miles and get back to em, but tbh i dont really want the car going back there for another day wasted in peterboro (i have no reason to be there) am i entitled to demand a refund??

About 130 + Vat for the kit and 3-4 hours labour. Not a hard job to do on the Omega if you have a ramp.

And you cant get it miss aligned because when it is, the gearbox will not go back on.

Plus, there is no adjustment possible

THe clucth ive just changed was a luk one,i replaced it with  a luk one from byparts, but it did seem not as good quality as the orignal.ps i would have loved a ramp (it would have made the job so easy

we are assuming they have changed the pressure plate, bearing and friction material and not the just the friction material....(it is the dreaded Mr Clutch!  )

Given the original incompitence on fitting and not bleeding the system correctly (to do it well you need to force fluid IN the bleed nipple) I would not be surprised if the flywheel is not glazed up.
