did hg 3500ago gone again do i need to have head skimmed and new bolts any advice would be helpfull

when it went the first time the water pump failed and bent valves so had to charge the head but did not have that head skimmed

A four pot will at least want to be checked its flat and hasn't got any cracks.

Always use new head bolts if you have used the old ones then they might have lost there tension, they'll still be tight but lose if you follow

did it over-heat when it failed? Defo going to need new bolts, and since this will be the second HG, i'd get head skimmed.

Remember good coolant maintenance is critical on 4pot  :y

no did not over heat will get it skimmed thanks tunnie/ this site is great and a god send also i have been told that you can use a 2lt hg set on a 2.2lt  are all the gaskets the same
