sicky diesel pump?????

hello, my omega has developed a problem today, am told its the stop start pin in the diesel pump?!?
has anyone else ever heard of or dealt with this problem??
its starts revs up and then cuts out! >:(
any help with this would be fantastic.

its the bit at the back between the injector pipe feeds and the throttle body.
the dome shaped bit with the buton on top on the first photo :y

forgot to to say check the wire to it isn't loose or broken.

my mate started it by putting a 12v feed to the diesel pump using the bolt at the top where the blue arrow is in the picture, is this a common problem?? has had a new engine 2 years ago and is on gear box number 4. my mate owned the car before me :o

If it runs ok with a direct feed,the wire or the connector that goes onto the solinoid is broken somewhere or the wire is oxidising.
As for the 4 g/boxes has it been chipped and what box is in it AR25 or AR35
