Blower Stopped Working
« on: 17 October 2010, 15:22:14 »

I have a 2003 MV6 3.2 Estate. Last night the blower just stopped working, every thing on the dash and heater controls are working ok but no blower. Any ideas? fuses, relays etc. just seen on this site re the blower speed control is behind the glove box. Going to look at it now, Any help would be greatly appeciated, Otherwise its a trip to Vauxhall main dealer for a whacking bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!

You dont have to take the dash out to get to the controller but it is a very fiddly job which needs 3 hands . I tried to remove one and broke both plastic retaining clips this was when the temperature was zero but be very careful if you decide to remove it

Mine used to just stop , try giving it a spin by hand , I also sprayed WD 40 around the spindle hoping it would seep into the bearing. It seems to have done the trick  .....  The only thing you need to remove is the section above the passenger foot well , 3 fixings screw i think . Select recirc that opens access to the drum type fan .  Reach up top left.  good luck . I hope it works for you too

not sure if same problem as yours with the speed controller, mine won't stop, i have to take the fuse out otherwise it runs on full even with the ignition key out! must get fixed before mot, due end of the month but no major worry as don't need mot on the island, just tax and insurance great if you don't want to go to Tesco or Co-op!!! Good luck getting yours sorted

seems to be the time of year for the heater to pack up - my fan stopped working today - looks like it is a common Omga fault by the number of members suffering this week!!
