How can I avoid this? This has now happened twice, scuttle is not broken or anything. What to seal and with what? I think I will fry the coil packs if I do not solve the problem

there is a gap around the scuttle to wiper arm blades, what happens is water flows down here, into the foam underneath, then drops onto the scuttle. Smear some sealant around the base where the scuttle meets the wiper arm

And along the joint where the 2 halves of the skuttle meet

I smeared a thick line of black silkaflex around the curved section of firewall and then pushed the 2 parts of the scuttle into it.

It is a perfect waterproof seal,but as flexible sealnt can be dismantled if I need to remove entire scuttle panel now.

No more water on passenger side cam cover and plug wells after heavy rain.
