The power sounder is ONLY there for any attempts to disconnect the battery .....  the "normal" alarm will still work, providing it has not been messed with  :)

Ok thanks Entwood, Had my head in engine bay loads of times and had scuttle off but never noticed this (haven't been looking).

Could it have been removed already?

I've looked at the guide, once i get the scuttle off will it present itself?

Thanks

Hi,
The main alarm control module as far as I remember is behind the right trim in the drivers footwell just in front of the door.
The PowerSounder is easy enough to see when you remove the scuttle and you will probably find that it is either not there (its close to the drivers side) or has been unplugged. The reasons for that are usually because it has failed or the built in batteries have failed and they are a bitch to replace, definitely not worth the effort because there so much protective gunk over them.
The sounder units are available on ebay too for a reasonable cost, its where I got mine!
Hope that is of some help.
