the mech is probably still frozen for the outside handle, try pouring some hot water over the handle area, it will take a bit of time but should thaw

they other favourite is the door opening but not closing because the mech is frozen.  same solution to be used.

i'll try that vaux  :y but when operating exterior handle there is no resistance whatsoever  :'( all other doors are ok, locks and unlocks and opens from inside, hopefully its frozen but sort of thinking something has come adrift inside  :(

if the hot water doesnt work, you will need to take off the door panel, pull the membrane away from the outer top corner, and you will be able to acess the handle mech, 2x 10mm nuts hold the outer handle on, you should be able to see if the small linkage has popped off before you remove it tho.

Normally the tail off the handle to the bar has snapped off.

If it is broken I have one here in Z282 Polar Sea blue :y

ok braved the snow  >:( and took the door card off for a look- the piece of metal bar coming from handle with the white plastic at the end has come out of a green bit of plastic on the opening mech, has this snapped off or just come adrift? can it be glued back into place? or does it require a new one
thanks

Confused.com! The metal bar coming up to the handle has a small plastic part pushed through the bar from the handle and holds the metal bar in place. Has the metal bar and plastic clip come away from the handle? If so, is part of the handle still attached?

ok lets try and explain abit better  :-?
from the handle there is a metal bar that runs down to mech, at the mech end of this bar is a white plastic bit, this in turn looks like it pushes into a green piece of plastic on the mech, want to know whether this is broke or fixable  :-? hmm i know what i mean  ;D ;D

Is it that part that's broken then? The saddle (green part) or the cup (white part)?

Thats easy then!!!

Take out 3 x torx bolts on the outer edge of the door where they latch. This lets you move the latch mechanism. Re-allign the cup with the saddle and hold the latch mech. in place and replace the 3 x torx bolts. Job done!
