What diff ratio's were fitted to the Omega ?

3.7, 3.9 and 4.22 on the petrol models and 3.45 on the DTI.

So would that be 3.90 on a 3.0V6 Auto Estate ?

It only has 2.5/2.6 and 3.2 listed  ;)

I believe so. On the 3.0 they were 3.90 on the autos and 3.70 on the manuals I believe.

A V6 Auto with a 3.9 is doing about 80MPH indicated at 3,000 RPM in top. :y

OK, i'll have a look see what the rev counter is saying at 80mph later, on the private road of course  ;)

75mph on the motorway yesterday it was doing about 2800rpm so it looks like it is a 3.90  :y

....... work it out exactly.

mph per 1000 revs = 60,000 divided by ( diff ratio x top gear ratio x wheel revs per mile )

wheel revs per mile should be 817.
doing it it 4th gear removes the top gear figure from the equation as it's 1:1 ratio.
