Suppliers
« on: 09 December 2010, 13:18:09 »

Hi guys, just a quickie. I'm after a timing belt kit and have found 2 what seem decent suppliers on the net and wondered if anybody had dealt with either of them and had experiences with price/quality? They are AUTOVAUX and LMF VAUXHALL? Many thanks for any comments.

Some members have had problems with LMF, I'd agree that your best bet is buypartsby :y

For something as vital as a timing belt kit  especially as it's important to get quality pulleys I have always used GM as suppliers with no problems.

Agreed, never a problem, but bypartsbuy are considerably cheaper for conti, gates, skf kits same as gm suppliers. Although bpb wanted 4 working  days to deliver, which can turn into 6 days if ordered the wrong side of a weekend.

You can get next day delivery for an extra £2 on the delivery price ;)

That's more like it, but I did ask if it could be delivered any quicker.  :-? Maybe I got the new guy.

I always ask for a lad called Dan. A few weeks ago I paid for next day delivery before 12 and the stuff didn't turn up so I gave Dan a call and he was honest and said the 2 kits I had ordered were still sat on the shelf, once i'd come down from the ceiling I told him I had two jobs on in York and Leeds so he arranged for the stuff to be delivered to the York job first thing. I got to York for about 8.45 the next morning and the parts were already there :y
