Having changed the coil pack last year I am a little annoyed that the scuttle has now allowed water to leak onto it  Has anyone considered resiting the pack to a more convenient and easy to get at location?  :-?

i seem to remember somebody on here that has done that  but cant remember who or what post  would be a cracking idea tho

Once bitten twice shy. 
A bead of sealer around the orifice for the wiper blade spindles and the joint between the sections of the scuttle.
Hindsight is a great thing.

Can't remember the details such as if/how it was supported and whether the oe leads were long enough, but iirc it was placed near the oil filler cap.

Toying with the idea of making a protective cover for mine instead. Just need to overcome the concern of setting it all alight. Especially now it has a years mot to run

I will get the scuttle off when this ******* snow and ice disappears and sort out the coil pack, on replacement I will certainly apply the sealant as advised. I have already looked into creating a waterproof shield directly above it, the issue is what material to use? If I get the time I am seriously going to look at moving it's position, as already said it would have to be near the filler neck. Would have to sort out routing the HT leads, length may be an issue, routing the connecting cable and where to fix the supporting bracket.

If anyone can remember the thread covering this I would be grateful.

no point moving it, its in the best location. Coil pack will only really get changed once in cars lifetime, so leave it where it is now. Some people have moved them to oil filler location, but this is utterly pointless in my opinion.

Put a dab of sealant around the edge of the scuttle to wiper blades, and scuttle to screen and it will seal it off and stop any water reaching coil pack.
