« on: 11 December 2010, 18:36:33 »

should the hbv let any water through to the matrix when there is no vacuum. i have checked mine and it lets a tiny bit through so heater doesnt warm up properly. if there should be a vacuum with engine running what do i look for. thanks  in advance.

With no vacuum applied the HBV should let ALL the water pass through the heater.  Vacuum applied and NO water should pass to the heater.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

with no vacuum it wont let any water pass through the hbv does that mean it has been put back together wrong or can the valve go faulty.  if u manually suck the pipe the little valve moved a bit inside but when u stop it springs back but lets a  bit of water through.
been like this since i bought it 2 months ago .
