heating problems still
« on: 11 December 2010, 14:24:55 »

sorry to sound stupid but i have flushed heater matrix both ways as described on here but still no heat when i flush through all the water piped i only get a small trickle of water to go through the bottom pipe on the hbv is this normal or is it faullty.  seems as if it is stopping water cerculating back out the matrix. unplugging the air pipe on top with engine running makes no change. :-? :-?

Try pulling the vacuum pipe off the top of the HBV and try again, this should send the hot coolant through to the heater matrix.

Possible faulty vac solenoid. Under glovebox to the right, 2 brass/gold coloured solenoids. Black vac rubber pipes = HBV control, black/blue rubber = recirc flap. Check to see if HBV one is actually working, if not you can swap hoses as the valves are identical.
