Over Heating
« on: 08 December 2010, 18:52:09 »

Hey Guys My wife has a 98 Deville..This morning it had to be about 37% here in Charlotte..She stated that when she drove to work this morning the car ran hot on the way there..She said she raised the hood when she arrived and sure enough it was running hot...She could not get me on the phone, so she waited until noon and drove the damn thing home..Now this is where I'm lost...The car never over heated on the way back, or even while sitting in the driveway...Could that be the Thermostat sticking? Thanks in Advance!

when was the engine water changed?? may find there is over build up of rust in engine, may help doing a back flush and a rad flush. if it gose from normal to 100c etc and back down, would do what said, check for black sluge as well when removing water if there is get back to us, steady speed around 40 55mph engine would be fine but going up and down on revs will pop the temp up.
