When the weather improves I am going to have a go at fitting a couple of the Aluminium headlight adjusters.

Is it possible at the same time to get "new " perspex fronts while I have them to bits? I have cleaned mine up each year for the MOT as they are misty. Or is it a new complete unit only item off Ebay.

I have checked mine are the Hella lights so i am presuming these adjusters will fit.

If you clean the inside of the lens while you have them apart you'll notice a vast improvement. I did mine when i fitted the ali adjusters and they're now clear as a bell

Yes I have done that each year for the past four years. Each time I think the blind MOT tester is going to take exception to them. They really are poor and are possibly the oldest Omega Hella lens on the planet!

i cheated on my drivers headlight and got one out of the oldshape headlight they seem much stronger but still plastic

when you put them back together use a hair dryer on full heat, makes the sealent sticky and seal's the light better, then should stop misting up, just go round the sides not on the lens.

Carefull with the reflectors though !!   
I'd avoid touching the inside surface of the 'bowls' if possible.
If they are dusty etc, rinse them under a warm tap and gently dry them with a hair drier.
Don't just wipe the dust off, or use a cloth to dry them after rinsing, the reflective coating is easily damaged.

I've just replaced the adjusters in mine with the aluminium ones. Easy enough job and dont be afraid to use an oven to separate the lens from the body, 10 to 15 mins in the oven at 100c, this does not harm the headlight in any way! While it was all apart I also rubbed the lens down using 400 wet and dry then 1200, then 1500 and a final polish with T-Cut or any good plasstics polish. Take heed of Turks advice when cleaning the reflective parts, you only have to look at it and the "chrome" falls off lol!

yes you can but will need new glue, glassback, and a bit of a trim on lens lip.

think its called cold glue, plenty of names for it, you squeeze it out with a gun (sealent gun), put lens on top press down as far as you can then heat the unit up, oven or hair dryer, and keep putting pressuse on it untill it sits right, triming the lens the part where the indicator (corner area may need to have a pit taken off, can sand it down but should be done before you put the glue in. can get glue at caravan shop like window seal.

Assuming by 'Xenon' you mean H.I.D's.

Many refer to H.I.D (High Intensity Discharge) as 'Xenon', but the term is not exclusive to H.I.D lamps. Xenon is an inert gas and is also used in some H1, H4 etc bulbs.

The two types of Omega headlights are Reflector and Projector, with the latter also available as H.I.D

The two headlight shapes are Pre Facelift and Facelift.

There was no change in lens shape between the Pre and Mini F/lift.
The same lens is used across the facelift range.

in normal halogen bulbs xenon is used in a verry small percentage.. 2-3%, when in hids its a lot bigger percentage
