thats it .. its official ! my head gasket has gone . does anyone know of any cheap 2.2 petrol engines going cheap on an 03 plate?? to tell the truth i dont know wether to just scrap it becaause its been nothing but bad luck since i got it  :(

It won't cost that much to do a head gasket on yours Shane, I'd even come to you to do it!

sorry for delay, just started up and the smoke that came out ... you couldnt see the end of the drive.. the header tank emptied into the engine, the oil is just thick sludge, so i would say the gasket has gone.. i dont have the money to repair so was thinking of scrapping.

gasket is only £10 on its own, the full kit is £39.99, bolts £10 so £49.99. 3-4hours tops to take it all off if you are going to do a head clean, more worth fixing than scrapping, easy to change it would do it my self, well did on mine. :y

£290 for one saw other day from an 06, my self if you wont a recon, doit your self, get to know your engine. :y :y

hey all christmas has come!! welung666 is going to sort it out for me so i'll be on the road again. this is the reason i've recommended this site to one and all. so no need to scrap the car   cheers to everyone ;D ;D ;D

It's really not that bad a job to do the HG on a 4 pot.
Watch Lee closely so you can see what he does, its worth knowing your engine inside out  :y
