Before we lose sight of things, to reiterate an earlier set of posts.....

There are no plans to remove any old member accounts.

There are no plans to introduce corporate sponsorship whereby personal details are used.

There are, however, initial general thoughts/concepts between mods as to what other enhancements we could add to increase usability, such as a 'shop' concept.

If anyone has thoughts on what they would like to see added/removed/improved, please feel free to use the suggestions thread.

One thing that does amaze me about the forum, and others..there must be costs associated with the running of these forums.... I know you guys (Admins) spend a lot of time looking after them but how do you meet your running costs.

Looked through the members list from day 1 the other day & noticed how many members logged on months ago but have remained inactive since. I understand not everyone's as talkative & involved as some of us & may need help sometime but maybe 1 post every month (even a newbie welcome) to keep their membership active might sort out the dead wood.
     Just a thought. :-/

Does that mean people who have had their post counts zeroed will have their accounts deleted automatically?  :o ;D

oi................ ;D ;D

 ;D Keep posting!

Fair enough.  Its the profits from the sale of such things that go towards the costs in hosting, domain registration etc.  Anything else other than that, TB or LB66 are the chaps to answer that more fully.

Our current hosting arrangements mean our overheads are low, and hopefully are covered by DVDs, stickers, and other merchandise.

I know we will make nothing from tax disc holders, as they really are sold at cost (give or take a few pence). If I get my way, this will change!

Costs not covered have been swallowed by the Admin Team for the following reason:

We believe that all information should be available for free.  This means we cannot charge membership.  We are against the idea of 'tiered membership', so any voluntary subscription or financial donation is not going to work.
