Dim head lights.
« on: 30 January 2011, 13:40:17 »

My head lights are quite dim, (S reg omega)
Why is this? - Yes the glass clouded & a bit discoloured though it seems to be a power loss as when the heater/rear de mister is on lights dim more!:-/

Is the glass clouded or discoloured? Have the light reflectors become dirty due to condensation or dust? :-/

As for the power drop, it doesn't sound like anything wrong with the actual lights, more with the alternator being a bit tired imo :-/

If lamps dim when you apply an electrical load you really need to read through Battery, Charging and Starting Diagnosis.

I would be looking for hot battery connections due to the heavy wires breaking where they are crimped to the connectors or a failing alternator.

Repairing the Alternator.
