it was a few years ago now but ive only done about 20000miles it would be better for me to do it myself im half way there just got to get to the manifolds off and then i can get the heads of if i do it myself then i know its done right thanks for the info its been really helpfull :y :y

It sounds like you're going to attempt to remove the exhaust manifolds from the heads?
I think it's better/easier to disconnect the manifolds from their downpipes and take the heads off with manifolds still attached.

A V6 owner will hopefully confirm shortly.  :y
