Got a problem with the Tractor at the moment although as I rarely drive it this could have been going on for a while (thanks for noticing darling wifey!!!)

Took it for a spin the other day and noticed that you can be cruising along at anywhere north of 45mph and when you release the throttle the revs will drop and as they pass approx 1700rpm the Engine Management Light will flicker on for a second then go off again. (its an Auto by the way)

I have now driven the car all week and can confirm it does it all the time. I have noone near with Tech 2 and cannot afford to have it checked by a pro, and to be honest, its not really causing me any problems. Its just one of those things that someone may be able to say 'Mine did that, its so and so'.

As a side note swmbo reckons that once it did it and the car slowed down dramatically (she said it was like the brakes had come on) but this hasnt happened once for me and im not entirely sure it wasnt her

Over run is when the EML light would appear on my TD Astra. A good clean of the EGR has (so far) cured it. (why don't we have a fingers crossed smilie? ) My mpg has improved too.

Where is the EGR valve located on a 99/T 2.5TD and whats best to clean it mate???

No idea! I have some relocated acetone that I used to clean my Astra's

It's located at the forward end of the inlet manifold, and secured to that by four nuts/studs.
It's connected to the charge-air pipe (embossed 'Turbo Diesel'), via a hose - these'll need to be removed first, as you'll see!

Regarding the EML flashing up:
Have you tried a paper-clip test?

I'll bet that it throws-up the dreaded '64' as in: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1205270870
Markseth's has been doing this for the past few years, even after the transplant of a known good engine and MAF-change.

That car's returning a proven 33mpg when driven locally around here, and with no related issues.
He's not bothered by this - and neither am I!
