Why do you think it's not working right?  If you've got the oil pressure warning light on the dash (a) don't run the engine, and (b) it's much more likely that the pick-up strainer is clogged and just needs removing/cleaning.

It's inside the sump, engine doesn't need lifting but the car will. No need to take the cam belt off unless your changing it at the same time ;)

What makes you think you have a problem with the pump though :-? :-?

Right you've had it into a garage then for which gasket??

And if im reading this right you've got it back and the RED pressure light is on??

Take it back get it fixed and then never use them again :y

You need to remove the lower sump pan (not the whole sump assembly) and check the oil strainer.

Engine flushes are BAD news.

TBH, I cant remember on the 2.0/2.2.

Initial thoughts are yes but, I have a nagging doubt in the back of my mind.....

I can tell you with certainty that you can get the sump down/off enough to get the pick-up pipe off/out without completely removing the old-style one-piece sump, without touching engine mounts/subframe.

Not sure how much this helps though, as you have the two part sump.
