Scuttle....
« on: 05 March 2011, 10:28:35 »

Hi All,

Are there different scuttles depending on the age of the car or is it a case of one scuttle fits all?  :-/

Many Thanks  :y

they also have a great big sponge on the underside to direct water onto the ignition system  ;D

(I don't remember my pre-facelift having that 'feature' ::))

I thought this was a special Elite feature to keep the coil pack clean and sparkly  :o :o

The brilliant sponge feature  :) I have (hopefully) sealed the joint up with silicone and a couple strips of denso tape underneath on my one, before I did it I wanted to see how bad the leak was and poured some water down the windscreen expecting a slow drip but it just streamed straight through straight onto the coil pack, I am changing the passenger side coil pack tomorrow and fitting new plugs all round so touch wood its all sealed.
